At Positive Mind Wellness, we believe in helping you heal from the inside out. You can experience hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT therapy) in our licensed hyperbaric chambers. This non-invasive treatment uses pure oxygen under pressure to support your recovery. You’ll receive a personalized treatment plan, careful supervision, and a safe environment designed to help your body’s natural healing and improve your overall wellness.

Areas We Support with HBOT

(Off Label/ Emerging Uses)

Beyond the approved medical conditions, many clients explore hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) as a supportive option for recovery and healing in other areas. These uses are still being studied and are not considered standard medical care.
Sports Injury Rehabilitation

  • Cosmetic & Post-Surgical Recovery
  • Neurological Rehabilitation (Concussion, Stroke, Brain Injury)
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Long COVID (PASC)
  • Sports Injuries

Important: These areas are considered to be off label. We’ll guide you through the latest evidence and help you decide, with your physician, if HBOT should be part of your treatment plan.

How Does HBOT Work?

During a session of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, you’ll relax in a comfortable setting inside our modern hyperbaric oxygen chamber, where the air pressure is 1.5 to 3 times higher than normal. You breathe pure oxygen, allowing your lungs to absorb more oxygen into the bloodstream. This oxygen-rich blood travels throughout your body—even to areas with limited circulation.

Researchers believe this process may help by:

  • Supporting the body’s natural healing response
  • Reducing inflammation and swelling
  • Promoting new blood vessel growth
  • Enhancing energy and cognitive function

While early studies are encouraging, HBOT for many conditions is still investigational. Results vary, and it is not considered a replacement for standard treatment. Always consult your physician before beginning HBOT therapy.

What to Expect During an HBOT Session

1

Before your session

You’ll change into a cotton gown or scrubs. Please avoid lotions, perfumes, and electronic devices inside the hyperbaric chambers.

2

During the session

You’ll sit or lie comfortably inside the pressurized chamber and breathe pure oxygen. The changing pressure may feel similar to your ears “popping” on an airplane.

3

Session length

Depending on your personalized treatment plan, each treatment can last 45 to 120 minutes. Multiple HBOT sessions are often recommended to support your long-term healing goals.

4

After the session

You may feel slightly tired, lightheaded, or notice temporary ear pressure, which usually resolves quickly. Many clients describe the therapy as calming and restorative.

Benefits of HBOT

Clients often choose hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) to support recovery, comfort, and overall healing. Inside the chamber, increased oxygen levels may encourage the body to repair itself and restore balance. While results vary and many uses are still investigational, people commonly report:

  • Reduced inflammation and swelling after treatment
  • Improved circulation and oxygen delivery to tissues
  • Support for faster healing and recovery
  • More energy and better focus during rehabilitation
  • Enhanced comfort as part of a broader treatment plan

Our role is to provide HBOT therapy responsibly, with clear guidance about what to expect. We’ll help you explore how this treatment may fit into your overall wellness goals.

While early studies are encouraging, HBOT for many conditions is still being studied. Individual results vary, and it is not considered a replacement for standard medical treatment. Please consult your healthcare provider before starting HBOT.
